How we started
The company launched to fill a gap in Miramar where contractors and event planners needed same-day portable toilet delivery and reliable weekly service. We began with 8 standard units and a septic pump truck. Word spread through job sites in Miramar and nearby Cooper City because we answer phones at 6 a.m. and show up when we say we will. Every rental includes a service visit within the first week, and we honor the OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) specification of 1 toilet facility for 20 workers or fewer on construction sites, so crews never guess whether they're compliant. Our owner still takes emergency calls on weekends.
Today we rent standard porta potties, deluxe flushable units, and ADA accessible restrooms across Miramar. A standard unit holds 60 to 70 gallons and measures about 44 by 48 inches on the ground. We also deploy restroom trailers for film sets and upscale events, roll-off dumpsters for demolition and renovation, and septic pumping service for residential and commercial tanks. We're licensed to pump grease traps when fats, oils, grease and solids reach 25 percent of the liquid depth.
What makes us different
Miramar Porta Pros does not outsource service calls. We employ 12 technicians who live in Miramar and surrounding cities including Plantation, 17.6 miles northeast, and Southwest Ranches, 10.0 miles north. Every truck carries spare parts and soap. We follow 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2), which requires washing facilities to include soap and towels or a hand drying device, so every handwashing station rental leaves your site ready for inspection. We also stock storage containers and temporary fencing for projects where you need to isolate a work zone or secure equipment overnight.
Calls to our dispatch center go to a human being between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. We answer emergency after-hours requests by phone. If you rent a porta john from us on Thursday for Friday pickup, we deliver by 8 a.m. Friday. If a unit fails during an event, we roll a replacement within 90 minutes anywhere in Miramar. We've never turned away a rental because of size or complexity. The largest job we handled was a 12-unit event in Hialeah Gardens, 9.5 miles south, where we also supplied a restroom trailer with hot water and a 200 amp temporary power connection.
Service areas and response time
We service Miramar and the immediate region: Country Club is 5.6 miles southeast, Palm Springs North is 5.9 miles south, and Miami Lakes is 9.9 miles south. Most deliveries in Miramar happen the same day. We also service Opa-locka, 13.2 miles southeast, where our second-closest technician is based. A roll-off dumpster delivery needs about 60 feet of straight clearance behind the truck, so we'll walk your site in advance to confirm the spot. We carry insurance and carry bonds. How do I calculate the number of units I need?
OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) specifies 1 toilet facility for 20 workers or fewer, 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers between 20 and 200, and 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers at 200 or more. For events, we recommend reading our placement guide to account for foot traffic and duration.
Can you rent to me for just one day?
Yes. Daily rental rates are higher than weekly or monthly, but we rent single units for one day all the time. Emergency situations get priority dispatch.
Do you service portable restrooms on weekends?
We take weekend calls. Response time on Saturday is usually 4 hours; Sunday calls go to our on-call technician. Weekend pricing is separate from weekday rates.
What's the difference between a standard unit and a deluxe unit?
A standard unit has a basic toilet and hand sanitizer. Deluxe units have a flushing toilet, a freshwater sink, a mirror, lighting and better ventilation. They cost more but suit corporate events and film locations where appearance matters.
Do you offer a discount for long-term rentals?
Monthly rental rates are lower per day than weekly rates. We also lock in service frequency: one visit per week is the baseline under ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 for up to 10 users over a 40 hour week, and we honor that. Longer contracts can include twice-weekly service if your site is high-traffic.
